Reporting a bug? Including your iOS version, your iPhone model, the Evolve version (App Store → Evolve → version number), and what you did right before it happened usually gets it fixed a whole round-trip sooner. A screenshot helps too.

How Evolve works

What do the five stats mean?

  • STR
  • STA
  • KNW
  • MND
  • HUN

Strength, Stamina, Knowledge and Mental are growth stats: they rise when you complete tasks that feed them, each on a 0–100 scale. Hunger is different — it is a meter that drains over time and refills when you log a meal.

How does Evolve decide which stats a task rewards?

Type a task in plain language and Evolve reads it on-device to suggest stat rewards — "gym at 12" leans Strength and Stamina, "read an hour" leans Knowledge. The suggestion is only a starting point: you can adjust every slider before saving, and your version is what counts.

Why is my hunger meter dropping on its own?

It's meant to. Hunger falls by 4 points an hour, so a full meter empties in about a day. Log a meal to refill it. Keeping it high over several days is also what unlocks the Well Fed and Feast perks.

I completed a lot today but earned barely any XP. Why?

There is a daily soft cap: after 300 XP in one day, further XP counts at a quarter rate. It keeps a single heroic day from outrunning a steady week. Your stats still move normally — only XP is damped.

What are stages and perks?

Your level unlocks stages — Origin, Riser, Ascending, Vanguard and beyond — which is Evolve's long arc. Perks are shorter-term: they appear when you keep a stat climbing several days in a row, like Iron Will for three straight days of Strength and Stamina growth. Perks fade if the streak breaks, and come back when you pick it up again.

Can I un-complete a task?

Yes — tap it again. Evolve logs the reversal and recalculates your stats, so an accidental tap costs you nothing.

Sync and your data

My devices aren't syncing.

Sync runs over your own private iCloud. Work through this list on both devices:

  • Signed in to iCloud with the same Apple Account on both devices.
  • Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Apps Using iCloud — make sure Evolve is enabled.
  • Both devices are online. Sync is skipped entirely while offline and resumes later.
  • Open the You tab and check the sync line. "Connected" or "Synced just now" means it is working; "Sign in to iCloud to sync" means the account isn't available yet.
  • Low Power Mode and a locked screen can delay a sync by a few minutes. Bring Evolve to the foreground on both devices to nudge it.

If it still won't converge, email us and mention what the You tab is showing on each device.

Does Evolve work without iCloud?

Completely. Everything runs offline on the device; iCloud only adds sync between your own devices. If you never sign in, you simply keep one local copy.

How do I delete my data?

Deleting a task in the App removes it everywhere at the next sync. Uninstalling the App removes all local data. To clear the iCloud copy as well, go to Settings → [your name] → iCloud → Manage Account Storage → Evolve and delete its data.

Where does my data go?

Nowhere we can see. There is no server, no account, and no analytics — see the Privacy Policy for the full detail.

Notifications

I'm not getting reminders.

  • Turn on the ones you want in the You tab: task reminders, the evening plan nudge, hunger warnings, and the weekly recap.
  • Check Settings → Notifications → Evolve and confirm Allow Notifications is on.
  • Make sure a Focus mode or Scheduled Summary isn't holding them back.
  • Task reminders fire 10 minutes before a task's scheduled time — a task with no time set won't produce one.

Why did only some of my task reminders arrive?

iOS caps how many pending reminders an app may hold, so Evolve schedules the soonest ones and rolls the rest in as those pass. In practice you always have the near ones; the far ones arrive on time too, they're just queued later.

Still stuck?

Send us the details and we'll take a look. Feature ideas are welcome in the same inbox — a lot of what Evolve does started as someone's email.
